An absolutely fantastic mountainous setting on one of the highest altitudes in Lebanon is the background for this micro family estate project.
A program with modest areas was given to us mainly covering three residential units, one for the single family use, and the two others for the future families of the children or guest units.
Our composition paralleled the program and it consisted of two built volume with roofs slanting towards opposite directions. This gave different dynamic perspectives varying from different viewpoints.
The stripped wood cladding completely envelopes these mountainous chalets, finished up with neat sloping thin zinc clad roof.
The completely glazed volume of the main reception abuts the main volume and could be completely opened in summer days to link it to the outdoors as one continuous function, while in winter its transparency allows open vistas towards the great outdoors.
